✓DisputeKit Autopilot

For SaaS, apps and online stores on Stripe

Every chargeback answered, on time, for a flat fee.

Autopilot watches your Stripe account. When a customer disputes a payment, it gathers the evidence that wins that dispute type, writes the response and files it before the deadline. You keep 100% of what you win back.

  • Free during the founding beta. Then from $29 a month.
  • Connects with a Stripe restricted key: it can't move money or issue refunds.
  • Fills Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0 for friendly-fraud claims.

What winning five $100 disputes costs you

Stripe Smart Disputes (30% of won amount)$150
Success-fee tools (25% of won amount)$125
DisputeKit Autopilot Starter$29

Stripe's $15 received fee applies in every case. Fees from Stripe's US pricing and published success-fee pricing, October 2026.

How it works

Two minutes to set up. Then it runs by itself.

Step 1

Connect Stripe

Create a restricted key with dispute access only and paste it in. Autopilot finds your open disputes straight away and hears about new ones the moment they arrive.

Step 2

It drafts the response

For each dispute it reads the payment, the customer, the subscription and earlier purchases, adds your policies and usage logs, and writes every evidence field Stripe asks for, plus a cover letter. You see a strength score and what's missing.

Step 3

It files before the deadline

In review mode the draft waits in your Stripe dashboard for one click. In automatic mode, strong cases are submitted a couple of days before the deadline and weak ones are flagged to you by email.

Built for the disputes subscription businesses actually get

Evidence follows Stripe's own guidance for each dispute category.

"I didn't make this purchase"

Card checks, 3D Secure, IP address and device at purchase, usage after paying, and Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0: two earlier undisputed payments on the same card that match the customer.

"I cancelled my subscription"

Subscription start and status from Stripe, the billing period, your cancellation policy and where it was shown, and proof the customer kept using the service.

"Not received" and "not as described"

Tracking and delivery from the payment, or login and download activity for digital products, with your refund policy and why no refund is owed.

Credit not processed

Refunds already issued are found automatically. Issuers reverse disputes on refunded payments.

Duplicate charge

Finds the other charge and explains why both are separate purchases.

Knows when not to fight

Visa 10.5 can't be won and a subscription cancelled before the charge shouldn't be fought. Autopilot says so and saves you the counter fee.

Pricing

Flat monthly prices. We never take a share of what you win. Free for everyone during the founding beta; we'll email you before any plan is charged, and nothing is billed unless you choose a plan.

Security and your data

  • Least access. You create a Stripe restricted key with dispute write and read-only payment, customer, invoice and subscription access. It can't create charges, refunds or payouts, or read card numbers. Stripe's own guidance suggests a restricted key for "a third party that monitors disputes".
  • Encrypted at rest. Keys and webhook secrets are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they're stored. Passwords are hashed (PBKDF2).
  • You stay in control. Review mode never submits anything without your click. Revoke the key in Stripe or delete your account at any time; deletion removes your disputes, activity data and our Stripe webhook.
  • What we keep. Dispute summaries, the drafted evidence and any activity events you send, for up to 400 days. We don't sell or share data.

Questions

Do you guarantee I'll win?

No one can: the card issuer decides. Autopilot makes sure every dispute gets a complete, on-time response built from the evidence issuers ask for, which is where most merchants lose. Merchants who respond win roughly half of contested cases; most disputes are lost simply because nobody answers.

Does it work with Shopify or PayPal?

Stripe first. A Shopify Payments app and PayPal are next. Until then, the free evidence pack builder works for any platform.

What is Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0?

A Visa rule for "I didn't make this purchase" claims (reason code 10.4). If you show two earlier undisputed payments on the same card, 120 to 364 days before, that match the disputed one on IP address or device plus one more detail, liability shifts back to the issuer. Autopilot builds this from your Stripe history and the activity events you send.

Will it submit something I haven't seen?

Only if you switch on automatic mode, and only for cases above the strength you choose, a set number of days before the deadline. Everything else waits for you.

Can I try it without real disputes?

Yes. Connect a Stripe test-mode restricted key (rk_test_…) and create a test dispute with card 4000 0000 0000 0259.
