# Website sued over accessibility? Get it fixed and the proof on paper.

Most ADA website lawsuits and demand letters quote the same problems: images with no description, buttons with no name, form fields with no label, menus you can't use with a keyboard. We fix them in your site's code or editor settings, then give you a dated report of what was fixed and how it was tested, for you and your lawyer. Fixed price, no overlay widget.

- Free scan of your page (and a product page, for shops)
- Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Magento, Webflow and custom-built sites
- Fixed in 7 business days, from US$399
- Proof report mapped to WCAG 2.1 AA, with what's left to do

We read the page the way a search engine does. Nothing is changed on your site, and we don't keep the results.

## Which websites are being sued

ADA website lawsuits filed in US federal courts from January to June 2026, by the platform the site was built on ([Ecomback mid-year report](https://www.ecomback.com/ada-website-lawsuits-recap-report/2026-mid-year-ada-website-lawsuit-report)). There were 2,045 in all, and cases filed in state courts aren't counted.

| Platform | Lawsuits, Jan–Jun 2026 | What we fix | Price |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Shopify](https://disputekits.com/shopify-accessibility-fix) | 952 (47%) | Your theme's code, on an unpublished copy | $499 / $1,499 |
| Custom-built sites | 661 (32%) | Your templates, styles and scripts, with access to your code or a developer copy | Quote, from $1,499 |
| WordPress and WooCommerce | 265 (13%) | A child theme or theme copy, plus plugin settings; we list plugins we can't fix | $499 / $1,499 |
| Squarespace | 65 (3%) | Everything the editor, site styles and code injection allow; we list what only Squarespace can change | $399 |
| Magento (Adobe Commerce) | 52 (3%) | Your theme templates, on a staging copy | From $1,499 |
| Wix | 50 (2%) | Everything the Wix editor allows (text alternatives, headings, labels, page language, colours); we list what only Wix can change | $399 |
| BigCommerce, Webflow and others | Not counted separately | Your theme or template code, on a copy | $499 / $1,499 |

- **Ten law firms filed about 81% of the cases** (same report). They use templates, so the same problems are quoted again and again, and the same fixes answer them.
- **Accessibility widgets didn't stop them:** 24% of sued sites already had one installed (same report). A widget sits on top of the page; the problems are in the site itself.
- Wix and Squarespace sites are cheaper to fix because we can only change what their editors allow. The report says plainly which problems are left for the platform itself.

## How it works

You stay in control of your site the whole time. We work on a copy wherever the platform allows it.

- **Free scan and quote.** Run the scan, then send the form below. We reply within 1 business day with a fixed price and the list of pages we'll cover.
- **Access.** You give us the platform's own kind of access: a Shopify collaborator request, a WordPress user for a staging copy, a Wix or Squarespace contributor role, or access to your code. Remove it any time.
- **Fixes.** Image descriptions, link and button names, form labels, headings, keyboard use, focus you can see, colour contrast, menus and pop-ups.
- **Testing.** Automated checks on every page type, plus keyboard-only testing by hand. The report says which checks were automated and which were done by hand.
- **You review and publish.** You check the fixed copy before it goes live. Where a platform has no copies (Wix, Squarespace), we change one page at a time and you check each one.
- **Proof report.** A dated PDF: each problem, the WCAG 2.1 AA criterion, what we changed, before-and-after results, and what's outside our reach (the platform, checkout, third-party apps and plugins). Plus an accessibility statement page.

## Questions

### Will this make my website lawsuit-proof?

No, and nobody can promise that. We fix the problems we find and document them. That makes the common claims much harder to repeat, and it's the proof most settlements ask for. Your lawyer advises on the legal side; we're not lawyers and don't give legal advice.

### Will my site be "100% WCAG compliant"?

We don't claim that. Some things are outside our reach: Wix and Squarespace control parts of their own code, Shopify controls its checkout, and apps and plugins load their own code. The report lists those, so you can ask the maker to fix them or replace them.

### Wix has its own accessibility wizard. Why pay?

Use it; it's free and helps. It doesn't fix everything, it doesn't test with a keyboard, and it doesn't give you a dated record of what changed. We go through the whole site and give you that record.

### What does the free scan check?

It reads the page you enter (and one product page, for shops) and looks for images with no text alternative, links and buttons with no name, form fields with no label, a missing page language, zoom turned off, missing titles on embedded frames, and heading and landmark problems. It also tells you which platform the site is built on. It can't check colour contrast, keyboard use or screen readers; those are part of the paid fix. Sites that build the whole page with scripts show fewer results.

### Do you use an accessibility widget or overlay?

No. We change your site's code or settings. If you have a widget, we'll tell you whether it's adding problems of its own.

### Who does the work?

DisputeKit, run by Shubhankar Sharma in India. We use automated tools and AI to work faster, and every fix is checked before you see it. The report says which checks were automated and which were done by hand. We can't test the site the way a screen-reader user does, so the report marks the checks that need one.
